Cerebrum Receives New Product Award: SEMA Show 2024
Cerebrum Intelligent Tire Technology recently unveiled its newest feature at the 2024 SEMA convention In Las Vegas. The new feature presented is Tire and Vehicle Load Monitoring, which is a system that monitors vehicle weight, prevents overload, & optimizes tire contact patch. Using patented tire-mounted sensors, Cerebrum processes tire conditions in our Intelligent Tire solutions cloud algorithms and reports live load conditions through mobile and web based portals. The tire sensors are mounted to the tire ,similar to installing a tire patch. It is compatible with any tire and communicates to mobile phones or common telematics systems. The load calculation is accurate to within 5% of total tire load capacity and can be optionally integrated with CTIS(central tire inflation system) to optimize pressure for the corresponding load. The load algorithm analyzes the deflection of the tire and the contact patch on the ground to make an assessment as to whether the tire pressure should be increased, decreased, or kept the same. It is only available to the agricultural tire market currently, but will soon be compatible with other commercial vehicles. Load monitoring is critical, especially in the agricultural industry because of the negative impact that overloaded tires can have on the tire, vehicle, and soil. Overloaded tires can contribute to soil compaction, which can affect the crop yield of farmers. Optimizing tire pressure to offset load will not only prolong the health of the tire, but increase safety and reduce downtime. Eventually this technology will allow trucks to bypass weigh stations because of these load calculations.
The awards were presented at SEMA(Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) in Las Vegas. SEMA is an automotive convention with companies all around the world presenting their automotive related products, custom cars, and technology. This award is given to products related to automotive electronics and mobile phone interface. Cerebrum was also awarded 2 Global Media Awards from different media groups all over the world. This showcases the increasing popularity of Cerebrum internationally and helps to market this technology worldwide
